Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 4:30pm-7:30pm Job Summary Summary Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 4:30pm-7:30pm. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of functions related to the safe assembly, distribution and service of food for Hospital patients, visitors and staff. Does this position require Patient Care? No kitchen positions. Sets up and stocks food station for meal service. Assembles patient trays and delivers trays from patient rooms. -Cleans station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal. -Position may include operating dish machine, trash compactor, mopping floors. -Prepares additional food items for patient tray line. -Regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager. -Assists with training of new employees as well as cross training of fellow employees.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Must be able to read menu items in English (exception is the pot-washer position).
- Must be able to communicate in English (exception is the pot-washer position).
- Must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Work requires ability to push trucks and carts with food and supplies.
