About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Food Service Worker. This position involves a variety of tasks, including food preparation, cleaning, shopping, delivery, and more. By ensuring the smooth operation of our food service program, you'll play a vital role in supporting CAPSLO's mission and helping individuals and families in need. Requirements
- Has a valid California Driver’s License, auto insurance, and acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Has experience working in commercial or institutional food service (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Clean during production and following meal service, i.e., keep equipment, appliances, work surfaces and area clean and sanitized, wash dishes, pots and pans, sweep and mop, load and unload dishwasher.
- Set up meal service for classes.
- Load food transport containers into delivery vehicle, unloads empty containers.
- Deliver meals from a central kitchen using a CAPSLO vehicle.
- Assist with pre-preparation of food requiring washing, peeling and cutting of fruits and vegetables, mix and stir prepared foods.
- Be dedicated to the goals and objectives of CAPSLO.
- Use reasonable precautions in the performance of one’s duties and adhere to all applicable safety rules and practices, and act in such a manner as to assure at all times, maximum safety to one’s self, fellow employees, clients and children.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
