About The Position
White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking individuals to join our dining services team. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. We are here to ensure that our residents are provided with every opportunity to become their best selves as they define it, and this begins with YOU. Shift: Part-Time, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Sat 6:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Requirements
- 6 months experience in related field preferred; Fast food or restaurant experience preferred
- Experience working with seniors preferred
- Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with residents
- Available on holidays, evenings and weekends (we will work with your schedule
Responsibilities
- Set tray cards; read tray service memo, set tray line and dish up soup, dinners, salads, desserts, coffee, water
- Fill out menu; set tables for next meal; checks for supplies
- Assist in preparation of food
- Deliver and pick up food carts
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room and kitchen; adhere to sanitary guidelines
- Ensure resident satisfaction by reflecting professionalism and customer service
