It is a term position for the school year, with guaranteed hours. Food Service Worker Job Description Summary The Food Service Worker is responsible to oversee food preparation and service in the school cafeteria under the direction of the Regional Program Lead - School Food, Food Service Lead and the South Shore School Food Project. The successful Food Service Worker performs optimally in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast paced environment. The Food Service Worker shows initiative while working and is willing to work within the mission and values of the South Shore School Food Project. They will have the ability to use sound judgement, have problem-solving skills, and a solution-based attitude. The Food Service Worker will have daily interactions with students of various backgrounds. They will be friendly, positive and maintain confidentiality. The Food Service Worker will be committed to promoting healthy eating, food equity and local, minimally processed foods in the school cafeteria. They will have regular attendance in current and previous positions.
