About The Position

The Food Service Worker at Weirton Medical Center is responsible for providing essential food service operations, including patient food service, cafeteria services, and catering. Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in writing.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds.
• None or up to three months related experience required.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of food service experience preferred.
• 1 year of dietary aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides services related to patient food service, cafeteria services, and catering.
• Delivers and collects patient trays to/from the patient safely and accurately.
• Portions food items for patients and guests according to department standards.
• Operates all food service equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and in a safe manner.
• Maintains sanitation standards and ensures equipment is cleaned daily and in accordance with standards.
• Prepares and delivers nourishments to patients according to established procedures.
