About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand for up to four hours at a time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and help serve high-quality foods at Turtle Mountain Cafe and the Dining Hall.
• Process hot and cold foods using mechanical equipment such as toasters and steam-jacketed kettles.
• Assist in vegetable or fruit preparation and front line finish product cooking.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers and staff from diverse cultures.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness standards by following established food handling procedures.
• Communicate temperature variations and equipment breakdowns to supervisors.
• Prepare supply items in advance of meal service and assemble food items for presentation.
