About The Position
Food Service Workers are essential in feeding everyone within the hospital. They help with: preparing a patient’s meal tray for delivery, delivery of meals to patient rooms, dishwashing, separating trash/recycle/compost, and re-stocking supplies. Job routines require patient interaction, working as a team, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, and moving large carts throughout the hospital. Great attitude and navigation skills are helpful!
Requirements
- Ability to read, speak, write and understand English.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to follow basic oral and written instructions.
- Meets the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods of time and walking long distances.
- Must be dependable – no excessive absenteeism/tardiness - per department policy.
- Understands and follows safety and sanitation procedures.
- minimum 18 years of age
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a high volume, fast paced food service environment preferred.
