The position involves setting up the tray line and cafeteria, assembling and serving meals, and may also include preparing salads, desserts, beverages, and other miscellaneous food items. Occasionally, the role requires delivering meal trays to patient rooms and nursing units. The individual will be responsible for preparing the patient tray line or cafeteria serving areas for meal service by setting out hot and cold food items as specified on the menu, and ensuring that all food items are prepared according to quality control and sanitation standards (HAACP).
