Responsibilities include logging hot and cold food temperatures on the trayline as well as refrigerator and freezer temperatures. The role also requires delivering meal carts and late trays for patients to the nursing station, performing various cleaning tasks such as detail cleaning, washing dishes, and pots and pans, and being responsible for stocking and cleaning work areas. Additionally, the position involves working on the patient trayline, which includes set-up and service as well as breakdown and sanitation. The employee may be asked to perform other tasks associated with food service as the need arises. The role also includes tasks related to the preparation, service, set-up, and maintenance of the cash register, as well as cleaning the cafeteria line and dining room.
