Learn more at GCE.org. The Food Service Worker I is responsible for safely performing contract duties as assigned by management. Quality customer service is expected to be provided at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position.

Requirements

• Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract.
• Understand oral and/or written instructions.
• Interact appropriately with customers, government personnel and staff members.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Set up hot and cold food serving stations.
• Serve customers proper sized portions at sufficient rates.
• Remove or refill hot and cold food items.
• Clean salad and beverage bar areas and clean spills immediately.
• Cut, pan, or plate pastries and desserts.
• Pre-wash, scrub, sort, separate, and put away dishes and utensils.
• Clean/de-scale dishwashers.
• Sweep, vacuum, and/or mop flooring.
• Deck scrubbing tile and concrete floors.
• Empty trash cans and deposit trash in appropriate receptacles.

Benefits

• Compensation for this position will be $22.45 per hour.
