CentraState Medical Center has an employment opportunity available for a Food Service Worker - Host/Tray Delivery. This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of food to patient rooms.

  • Keeps work area and equipment clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Sets up assigned area and maintains adequate supplies during shift.
  • Presents and garnishes food in an attractive manner.
  • Prepares food and beverages for all meals as assigned including catered events.
  • Assembles food and supplies for assigned departments and makes deliveries to units.
  • Stocks unit pantries following department specific procedures.
  • Delivers food trucks and individual patient trays to all units as assigned.
  • Stays up-to-date with all health and safety requirements.
  • Listens to customer feedback and responds to complaints in a professional manner.
  • Follows daily scheduled utility cleaning guidelines as assigned.
  • Adheres to State Sanitation codes and regulations.
  • Documents dish machine temperatures according to department policy.
  • Supports all utility positions in the kitchen including performing porter functions.
  • Maintains all assigned work areas.
  • Maintains clean equipment at all times.
  • Sweeps, mops, removes garbage throughout all kitchen areas.
  • Cleans kitchen equipment including slicers, ovens, fryers, skillets, hand sinks, etc.
  • Scrapes and washes all patient dishes, patient trays, and maintaining sanitary conditions for all cleaned items.
  • Cleans walk-in refrigerator and freezers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Basic command of English language (speaking, reading, writing) and basic math skills required.
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to circumstances and make decisions quickly.
