About The Position

The Food Service Worker at Norman High School will be responsible for various tasks related to food preparation and service in the Coffee Bar. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work stations.
• Read recipes and/or product directions.
• Estimate food requirements.
• Operate kitchen utensils to prepare food for cooking, serving, and storing.
• Prepare hot and/or cold foods and properly store them.
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Keep records and requisition supplies/equipment as needed.
• Taste test products as required.
• Set up stations with food products and utensils.
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables.
• Brew coffee and tea, and restock beverage areas as needed.
• Interact with customers in the serving, retail, and dining areas.
• Assist customers with food preparation requests.
• Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
• Comply with safety and risk management policies and procedures.
