About The Position

Performs a variety of routine duties related to the serving of food, responsible for all customer monetary transactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service cashier preferred.
• Must have math and customer relations skills.
• Must be able to work in hot and humid areas.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers promptly and courteously.
• Handles all financial matters in a responsible manner.
• Balances the cash drawer on a daily basis and is responsible for maintaining accurate customer transactions.
• Assist in setting up serving area and serves customers in accordance with established schedule and procedure.
• Cleans the cafeteria dining area and customer service area following infection control and HACCP guidelines.
• Informs supervisor of all supply and equipment needs.
• Maintains adequate food and nonfood supplies during meal service.
• Communicates all customer related comments and/or complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
• Completes all documentation requirements, temperature logs, cleaning schedule, daily deposits, etc.
• Understands standard isolation procedures and HACCP guidelines.
• Understands role in hospitals fire, safety and disaster programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
