About The Position

This position assists supervisory and food preparation personnel in preparation and serving of meals for facility residents. This position performs various duties according to specific position assignment. This position maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards while performing essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares food service carts by loading trays, arranging utensils, and placing dietary cards.
  • Prepares food areas and steam tables for meal service.
  • Prepares salads and fruit plates.
  • Stocks storage areas as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food service and work areas.
  • Observes personal sanitation procedures (i.e., washing hands, wearing hair nets).
  • Cleans pots, pans, and equipment utilized.
  • Refills condiments, beverage, and food trays.
  • Assists co-workers as needed.
  • Attends staff in-service training.
  • Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural.
