About The Position

The Food Service Team Member is a key part of the camp experience, ensuring campers and staff enjoy nutritious, delicious meals in a safe, clean environment. This role requires teamwork, efficiency, and a commitment to health and safety standards while creating meals that fuel happy campers. Our food service team members serve as seasonal team members May - August between 20-39hrs a week Sunday-Friday.

Requirements

Experience in food preparation, catering, or a similar role.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a camp, school, or other group dining setting.
Familiarity with special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, vegetarian, gluten-free).

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and serving meals according to the camp’s menu and dietary requirements.
Ensure meals are appealing, nutritious, and served on time for large groups.
Work closely with other kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment to maintain an efficient workflow.
Communicate effectively to meet meal schedules and adapt to changing needs.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and cleaning procedures.
Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and well-maintained at all times.
Create a positive dining environment focused on camper happiness and satisfaction.
Accommodate special dietary needs or allergies with care and professionalism.
Participate in dishwashing, cleaning, and other maintenance tasks to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Monitor and report inventory needs for food and kitchen supplies.
