About The Position

As a Food Service Team Leader at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a fresh, full, and food-safe shopping experience for our guests. You will lead the Food & Beverage team, which is responsible for maintaining product freshness, inventory accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills in guest service, food and beverage business fundamentals, and team leadership. You will be expected to model guest service standards, plan and execute workloads, and foster a culture of safety and compliance within your team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age 18 or older.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand sales goals and execute daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals.
  • Work a flexible schedule that aligns with guest and business needs, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Model guest service standards and develop team members to share product knowledge with guests.
  • Assess food service areas to ensure food safety and proper inventory levels.
  • Walk Food & Beverage Standards and review reporting to identify business gaps.
  • Ensure execution of food safety standards and cleaning routines.
  • Lead team to uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards.
  • Foster productive relationships with management and attend required meetings.
  • Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders.
  • Make production quantity decisions to ensure freshness and profitability.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • Participate in team onboarding and training to close knowledge gaps.
  • Establish clear goals and hold team members accountable to expectations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
