About The Position

Food Unit Team Lead Full Time, First Shift The Food Unit Team Lead coordinates the daily activities of food service staff while ensuring efficient operations and high-quality dining services. This role oversees food preparation, service operations, inventory management, and sanitation compliance while helping create a positive dining experience for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of food service experience required.
  • Prior food service supervisory experience preferred.
  • Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with food preparation and meal service to ensure quality, safety, and presentation standards are met.
  • Coordinate daily activities and workflow of food service staff.
  • Train employees on proper food handling, preparation, and service procedures.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, orientation, and ongoing training.
  • Monitor portion control and ensure consistent food quality.
  • Manage inventory, food ordering, and supply levels using approved vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records including production reports, payroll, and inventory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations (HACCP and OSHA standards).
  • Implement sanitation schedules for kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns as needed.
