Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our main campus in Red Hook, NY, this position is responsible for assisting in all food preparation, as well as cleaning of all flatware, dishes, pots and pans, and general cleanliness of the kitchen. This position is responsible for proper rotation of dry goods, milk products and meat, fish and poultry to make sure waste is at a minimum at all times. They will check on a daily basis and record temperature and basic functions of the dishwasher to insure proper temperature and cleanliness of all ware going through it. They will assist each morning in table preparation, serving, portioning, kitchen and dining room clean up. Location: Main campus, Red Hook school Salary: (commensurate with education and experience) With HS Diploma/GED: $18.00 - $19.26 per hour With BA/BS: $19.00 - $20.33 per hour With MA/MS or higher: $20.00 - $21.40 per hour You deserve to work somewhere that gives back to you! Requirements

Minimum GED or High School Diploma
Minimum one year experience, preferably in an institutional setting.
Educational requirements will be waived if candidate can demonstrate five(5) years experience in food service, preferably in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities

Assisting in all food preparation
Cleaning of all flatware, dishes, pots and pans
General cleanliness of the kitchen
