About The Position

The Correctional Food Service Supervisor is responsible for the preparation, cooking, serving of meals, and clean up in a correctional facility at Stanly County Jail. This position requires adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards while working within the unique environment of a correctional institution. The role involves ensuring that meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner and that all food service operations comply with facility regulations and health standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic cooking and food preparation skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions.
• Pass a background check and comply with security protocols.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Work in a correctional facility kitchen with exposure to loud noises.
• Adherence to security and safety measures.
• Slip resistant shoes, work pants, and company provided shirts.
