About The Position

The Food Service Team Leader at Target is responsible for leading the Food & Beverage team to ensure a consistent experience for guests by managing product freshness, inventory accuracy, and food safety. This role involves planning daily and weekly workloads, leading a team of hourly team members, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, and involves various responsibilities such as assessing food service areas, managing inventory, and fostering a guest-first culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18 or older.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business.
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand sales goals and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals.
• Plan food service transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling, promotions, and price change workload.
• Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
• Assess Food Service back of house, production areas, dining spaces, and merchandising spaces for food safety and inventory levels.
• Follow all food safety requirements and cleaning routines.
• Lead team to uphold and maintain all Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards.
• Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
• Establish clear goals and expectations for team members.
• Model a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
