About The Position
The Food Service Worker plays a vital role in the food preparation and service operations within the facility. This position requires the individual to work in various areas where food is prepared, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with health and safety standards. The Food Service Worker will assist in the setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables, contributing to a positive dining experience for customers. Key responsibilities include reading recipes and product directions, estimating food requirements, and operating kitchen utensils to prepare food for cooking, serving, and storage. The worker will also be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing workstations and equipment, setting up food stations, and serving food to customers. Interaction with customers is a significant part of the role, as the Food Service Worker will assist customers with their needs and ensure a pleasant dining atmosphere. In addition to food preparation and service, the Food Service Worker must comply with all safety and risk management policies, attend training programs, and participate in regular safety meetings. The position may require working on a tray line to distribute food and performing other duties as assigned by management.
