About The Position

Join the Hampden DuBose Academy Family! Hampden DuBose Academy is a small, private Christian school located in northwest Orange County, surrounded by a peaceful rural setting within a growing community. What are we looking for? Individual to operate the lunchroom and complete related paperwork, working at some school events, managing the food and beverage component of the event, and managing concessions programs for events, including after-school activities. Expected hours: 25 to 30 hours per week. To be able to take the information learned and pass it on to others. Learning not only how to prepare food and care for others but how to maintain a sanitary environment for running and working a healthy kitchen and concessions stands. To be up-to-date on all the necessary safety prerequisites for food safety. Including 8-hour Food Safety in Schools and ServeSafe Food Staff training. Which we will provide along with other in-house safety training. To manage the purchase of all the supplies and food needed for the lunch program and for the concession stand. Prepare, cook, and serve daily lunches Preparation and management of the lunch program menu and paperwork that is involved. Training and managing the co-op students and staff: as food service attendants/hosts, to mentor other students to provide more leadership in the hospitality service and train in kitchen, serving food preparation and presentation, and sanitary precaution skills. For the lunch program, you will have one student/staff member you are managing who will assist you with serving the lunches to the students. Lunch is pre-pack.
