Requirements

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade and additional courses in home economics preferred.
Three years of experience in the preparation and serving of foods in a school lunchroom or cafeteria.
Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card upon date of hire.
Knowledge of methods of preparing, cooking, and serving foods; procedures involved in managing a large school lunchroom; federal and state forms; proper nutrition.
Ability to prepare food planned

keep complex records
understand and carry out oral and written directions
maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and students.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
