About The Position

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Food Service Manager position at Jefferson Health in Cherry Hill, NJ. The Food Service Manager is a management position responsible for developing and implementing dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Oversees and manages dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. The Food Service Manager plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to food service complying with the standards established by ARAMARK Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client. May lead the food service department. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees.

Requirements

  • Requires at least two years of food service management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to lead a team, work independently and multi-task

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary management experience is preferred.
  • Healthcare and/or patient services experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service.
  • Drives patient and customer satisfaction and maintains client relationships through rounding.
  • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Manages food cost, procurement, and controls waste.
  • Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance of the Food Service Supervisors or Leads and/or front-line staff regarding food presentation, quality, cost control and cash handling.
  • Manages and controls labor, resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, staffing levels and cost control within budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing food service activities in compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ food service systems.
  • Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer/patient needs and to improve services
