About The Position

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Food Service Manager position at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The Food Service Manager plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to food service complying with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare+, regulatory agencies and client. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees. This position will lead in managing and maintaining the Food Safety and Sanitation standards and all logs. Job Responsibilities• Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service. • Drives patient and customer satisfaction and maintains client relationships through rounding. • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards; implements and maintains all food safety/sanitation systems and programs and all regulatory logs. • Manages utility staff directly and assists in managing waste. • Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance the Food Service Supervisors and/or front-line staff regarding food presentation, quality, cost control and cash handling. • Manages and controls labor, resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, staffing levels and cost control within budgetary guidelines. • Responsible for scheduling and managing food service activities in compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ food service systems. • Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer/patient needs and to improve services

Requirements

• Requires at least 1 year of experience in a Food Service Management role
• SERV Safe Certification and/or HACCP knowledge required
• Regulatory compliance knowledge required with regards to kitchen sanitation requirements
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Culinary degree is a plus
• Experience managing a union workforce is desired
