Sodexo Government Services has an exciting opportunity for Food Service Manager 2 to be part of a growing account in our Cherry Point Mess Hall. Requirements

  • Have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Have basic culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Prefer ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for inventory management and procurement operations of food and supplies to ensure account retention.
  • Directs daily operations of inventory and procurement operations of food and supplies to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines.
  • Provides input to estimate food consumption in order to procure appropriate amount of supplies.
  • Manages the budget by controlling costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, materials), complying with budget requirements and making adjustments when necessary.
  • Establishes a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and with standards and procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials and/or waste.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel).
