About The Position

SodexoMAGIC is seeking a Food Service Manager to join our team at Lansing School District in Lansing, Michigan. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee food service operations across eight schools within the district, ensuring students receive nutritious meals that support their success. Previous experience with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is preffered but not required, along with strong skills in inventory management, production record oversight, and accurate timekeeping. Effective time management is essential to thrive in this fast-paced environment. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Sodexo. This strategic alliance enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve. For almost 20 years, we have provided top-level food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities and aviation lounges.

Requirements

have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Minimum Management Experience - 1 year
