About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 1 for the Oak Harbor School District, located on the north end of Whidbey Island, serving the town of Oak Harbor and the surrounding area in Washington state. This role involves oversight of day-to-day operations, delivering high-quality food service, providing employee training and development, and developing and maintaining client and customer relationships. The Food Service Manager will assist with ordering, inventory controls, and menu development, as well as catering functions. Additionally, the manager will oversee the safety program, manage equipment purchasing, and ensure that Sodexo and National School Lunch (NSLP)/USDA standards are met.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License required
• Solid work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills
• Previous supervisory experience
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Previous experience in a K-12 environment preferred
• Culinary production experience
• Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrate professional communication skills
• Passion for high level of customer service
• Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility
