About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 1 for Methodist Hospital-North Lake and South Lake located in Gary and Merrillville, IN. The typical schedule includes closing shift. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. This strategic alliance enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.

Requirements

• Knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets.
• Experience with oversight of diet offices.
• Strong management skills, preferably in healthcare.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a self-starter mindset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient Services Program targeted to exceed patient and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee Sodexo's Patient Dining Program and daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery.
• Collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience.
• Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation and tray accuracy.
• Perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development.
