Food Service / Kitchen Helper - Part-time Days and PMs
About The Position
Start Date: ASAP, we have a new employee orientation class starting soon Part Time Schedule: 2-3 shifts per week Shifts: some shifts will be 6:30am -2:30pm and others will be 12:00pm-8:00pm with an every other weekend rotation. You must have availability to work both shifts. A little more about our center:Frankfort Terrace is a medical facility, providing care to the non-violent mentally ill population. Located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful grounds, trees and flowers - you can ride your bike to work. What you will do in this role: As a Dietary Aide, you play an important role in caring for our patients. For most, a meal is more than just food — it's a moment of comfort and connection during a challenging time. Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to regularly push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and pass a pre-employment physical and background check
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe Food Handler Certificate (strongly preferred)
- Some prior food service experience - specifically in a medical facility or commercial/central kitchen is preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer-based documentation systems
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Serve meals with care and encouragement
- Clear and clean tables, creating a welcoming and comfortable dining space
- Assist with dishwashing and support the kitchen team to keep everything running smoothly
- Work closely with your kitchen team to ensure every patient receives the right meal, on time, with a friendly touch
