About The Position
University Housing is looking for individuals to join our Dining and Culinary Services dishwasher team! Dishwashers keep the UW-Madison residential dining facilities prepared and stocked with clean serving supplies. As a Food Service Dishwasher in University Housing you will: Demonstrates and role models exceptional customer service Perform duties in a high-volume, dynamic, student residential dining environment Provides support and assists as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency Be part of the Dining and Culinary Services team that serves the residents of the University Residence Halls, as well as UW-Madison students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Requirements
- 6 months of dishwashing or cleaning experience in a professional setting.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- 1+ years of dishwashing experience in a high volume institutional professional kitchen setting.
Responsibilities
- Provides customer service, including food serving, to internal and external customers
- Shelves and organizes (stockroom, warehouse) inventory
- Moves and maintains equipment and furniture for dining events
- Operates a dishwashing station and associated equipment
- Assists student employees and provides training as needed
- Cleans and maintains equipment and work areas to ensure adherence to safe food quality, handling, and sanitation processes and procedures
