About The Position

Food Service Director Job Purpose:The Director of Dining Services is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the food service program, including both the front and back of house. This includes management of menus, staffing, inventory, budget control, food handling, preparation, storage, safety, and sanitation to ensure that residents and guests are consistently offered a superior dining experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate of or attendance in an approved Dining Manager's course required.
  • Minimum of 2--4 years of experience in food service required; supervisory or management experience required.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation, and food service operations required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and assist at another facility for coverage or during an emergency; travel will be reimbursed.
