About The Position

Children's Aid Society seeks an organized Food Service Coordinator to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our daily students and residents. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2 years of experience working in food service
  • Safe Serve certification is required within 60 days of hire
  • A criminal background check and a health physical are required
  • This is a Safety Sensitive position - reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • a degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management, Nutrition or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver daily meals to classrooms, dining areas and/or off-site facilities
  • Be responsible for daily cleanup and food storage before and after serving
  • Plans and follows monthly rotating meal menus, making sure appropriate alternatives are given for food allergies
  • Responsible for weekly inventory and supply planning
  • Plans and prepares cooking experiences for students throughout the school year.
