A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR / COOK As a Food Service Coordinator / Cook, you are vital to the mission of our assisted living community. The delicious and wholesome food you prepare helps our residents feel cared for and supported, which is our goal. Every shift, you arrive on time and immediately get to work preparing the upcoming meal. Up to 70 residents await your appetizing cooking. To ensure that they are satisfied, you carefully prep the food, follow the recipe, and assemble it in a pleasing manner. As you serve the meal, you have the chance to interact with our residents and see the pleased smiles on their faces when they receive what you've made. Afterward, you clean the kitchen, leaving it spotless and orderly for the next meal's prep. It's a busy shift but nothing is more satisfying to you than a job well done.
