About The Position

Columbia Cottage in Hershey, PA is looking to hire a part-time Food Service Coordinator / Cook to prepare meals for our assisted living community. This role is vital to the mission of the assisted living community, as the delicious and wholesome food prepared helps residents feel cared for and supported. The position involves preparing meals for 40-50 residents, ensuring their satisfaction through careful food preparation, following recipes, and assembling food in a pleasing manner. After serving the meal, the cook has the opportunity to interact with residents and witness their pleased reactions. Following the meal service, the kitchen must be cleaned, leaving it spotless and orderly for the next meal's preparation. The role is part of a team dedicated to ensuring a high quality of life for the residents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for the assisted living community
• Arrive on time and immediately begin preparing the upcoming meal
• Carefully prep food, follow recipes, and assemble meals in a pleasing manner
• Serve meals and interact with residents
• Clean the kitchen, leaving it spotless and orderly for the next meal's prep
