This approach is called 452 Hospitality. The Food Service Cook position at the Minnesota Zoo supports restaurant preparation for daily operations, both back-of-house and on the line. The role involves meeting daily quick-service, food service, safety, and quality standards, ensuring proper food quantities, and maintaining safe food handling practices. The cook is expected to deliver warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for guests and clients, respond to feedback, and communicate issues to supervisors. The position requires knowledge of menu items and assisting with dishwashing as needed, all while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment and upholding company policies.
