The Baldwin Park Unified School District, under general supervision, is recruiting for Food Service Cook/Baker. The Food Services Cook/Baker is under the general supervision, to perform the major cooking and baking duties in the high school cafeteria, including maintaining food services facilities, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. The employee will also instruct and direct assigned assistants to do related work as may be required. For a full description of the classification, please review the job description. Requirements

  • Appropriate and correct methods for preparing, cooking, baking, and serving foods in large quantities
  • Care and use of food service equipment
  • Sanitation and safety procedures relating to food preparation, service, and storage
  • Methods for computing food quantities required for prescribed menus
  • Individuals possessing the knowledge and abilities listed above are considered to possess the necessary education
  • One (1) year of recent paid experience in cooking and baking in large quantities in an institutional-type setting
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 Letters, recent within 2 years must be dated & signed)
