About The Position

Description of Duties: (The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Managerial work directing a Elementary School staff of employees engaged in the preparation and service of a variety of meals in a school cafeteria. Supervises the training of new personnel. Plans, assigns, supervises and inspects the work of subordinates through daily work and cleaning schedules. Collaborates with the Food Service Director in planning the monthly menu. Responsible for ordering and receiving all food and supplies. Supervises and participates in the preparation, cooking and service of a wide variety of food items and a la carte offerings. Supervises care and use of equipment. Follows established procedures to ensure standards of cleanliness, health and safety. Responsible for daily cash receipts. Responsible for keeping accurate food production, inventory, meal count and financial records. Delivers a yearly evaluation to all staff with assistance from the Food Service Director. Fulfills all Catering requests from Central Office during the school days Works 8 hour day Eligible to participate in professional development classes when offered.
