About The Position

Join Pilgrim Place, a welcoming senior living community in Claremont, where teamwork, respect, and service guide everything we do. We’re seeking a dependable and talented Food Service Baker to join our Dining Services team and help create fresh, delicious baked goods and meals for our residents. In this role, you’ll prepare baked goods for our dining program and special events, assist with meal preparation, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, production sheets, labels, and written instructions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts
  • Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • 2–4 years of baking or food service experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or senior living

Responsibilities

  • Prepare baked goods for daily dining service and special functions.
  • Assist with food preparation for resident meals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records for baked items.
  • Help with inventory, ordering, receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and storage organization.
  • Follow and adapt recipes based on daily meal counts and dietary needs.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, including HACCP principles.
  • Clean and organize kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Assist with meal service and kitchen cleanup following proper procedures.
  • Complete laundry assignments as needed.
  • Communicate with kitchen leadership and team members regarding daily operations.
  • Support special events, meetings, and departmental initiatives.
  • Practice safe work habits and proper use of kitchen/sanitation equipment.
