About The Position
Food City is seeking a Food Service Associate to ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town'. The role involves maintaining a positive attitude and creating an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. The Food Service Associate will be responsible for generating a positive, friendly, and fun working environment with a customer-first initiative by greeting and speaking to customers, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service. Key tasks include preparing and producing quality food and products, making sandwiches, assisting with the hot bar, slicing meats and cheese, serving food and drinks, taking telephone orders for food and specialty cakes, and keeping the workstation neat and clean. The associate will also assist in ensuring that all packaged products for self-service are properly packaged with correct weights and ingredients, follow the company Food Safety program, and assist in stocking and proper rotation of products. Food Service Associates should expect to be cross-trained in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
