About The Position

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Food Service Associate to join our team at our assisted living and long-term care facility. In this role, you’ll help prepare, serve, and deliver meals that meet residents’ dietary needs while creating a clean, welcoming, and respectful dining experience. Responsibilities

  • Assemble resident meals based on dietary orders and menu selections, ensuring accurate portions and presentation; place completed trays in carts for timely delivery to resident units
  • Properly portion and plate salads, desserts, beverages, and other items to meet established nutritional guidelines and quality standards
  • Prepare and distribute nourishments and floor stock according to residents’ care plans, ensuring special diets and preferences are followed
  • Assist in the dish room by washing, sanitizing, and organizing service ware; strip trays and clean meal carts to maintain a sanitary work environment
  • Restock dishes, utensils, and food service supplies to ensure stations are fully equipped for the next meal period
  • Maintain a clean and safe food service environment by following infection control protocols, safe food handling practices, and general cleaning routines
  • Accurately complete and record all required HACCP logs and food safety documentation as part of daily operations
  • Operate commercial dish machine and other equipment to provide residents and staff with clean, sanitary dishware and cooking utensils
  • Remove trash and recyclable materials from food service areas and dining spaces; maintain cleanliness and organization of service zones
  • Prepare short-order meals and beverage requests at deli, grill, or hot food stations; assemble and serve food items following portion control guidelines
  • Greet and assist residents and guests with menu questions and special dietary requests; provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels at all food service stations, dining areas, and prep zones to ensure smooth operation throughout the day
