About The Position

The Food Service Associate position at Maplefields - Stowe involves providing excellent customer service, setting up food service, kitchen, and prep stations, and assisting in the preparation of hot and cold food items. Key responsibilities include ensuring proper availability of utensils and condiments, checking food and cold case temperatures according to food safety guidelines, and visually inspecting products for quality and expiration. Associates will take orders, serve food items, clean and maintain work areas, handle garbage/compost, and may provide guidance to other employees. Reporting equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management and assisting with deliveries are also part of the role. This position can be full-time or part-time with flexible scheduling based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Always greet customers as they approach the department, provide excellent customer service through entire interaction.
  • Set up food service, kitchen, prep stations, and equipment for business day.
  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold food items.
  • Ensure proper utensils, napkins and condiments are available to customers.
  • Check food temperatures before serving following all food safety guidelines.
  • Check Cold case temperatures frequently.
  • Visually inspect all products for quality or out of date labels and remove from selling floor as needed.
  • Take orders and serve food items to customers following customers specific requests.
  • Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment.
  • Collect and place garbage/compost in designated containers.
  • May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management immediately.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries and putting loads away in an orderly manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.
