About The Position
Food City is seeking enthusiastic Food Service Associates to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times, supporting our mission to "Run the Best Store in Town!" Associates will maintain a positive attitude and create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. The position involves generating a positive, friendly, and fun working environment with a customer-first initiative by greeting and speaking to customers, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service. Responsibilities include preparing and producing quality food and products to meet or exceed customer and company expectations, making sandwiches, assisting with the Hot Bar, slicing meats and cheese, serving food and drinks, taking telephone orders for food and specialty cakes, and keeping the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean. Associates will also assist in ensuring that all packaged products for self-service are properly packaged with correct weights and ingredients, follow the company Food Safety program, and assist in stocking and proper rotation of products. Food Service Associates should expect to be cross-trained in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
