About The Position

Food City is seeking a Food Service Associate to ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town'. The role involves maintaining a positive attitude and creating an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. The Food Service Associate will be responsible for preparing and producing quality food and products to meet or exceed customer and company expectations, including making sandwiches, assisting with the hot bar, slicing meats and cheese, serving food and drinks, and taking telephone orders for food and specialty cakes. Additionally, the associate will keep their workstation and surrounding area neat and clean, assist in stocking and proper rotation of products, and follow the company Food Safety program. Cross-training in multiple areas with varying responsibilities is expected.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
