About The Position

Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way. Under direction of supervisor, serves food at cafeteria line or at tables. Maintains clean work areas. Cleans and puts away dishes. May assist in some food preparation as needed.

Requirements

• Intermediate competency in reading, writing, and mathematics required
• Food service experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain food handler permit where required
• Good communication skills in English (or language of country where position resides)
• Must be able to lift/move/maneuver objects weighing up to 40 lbs
• Must be able to work while standing for entire shift
• Must be able to make repetitive movements
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Serves food in cafeteria line
• Runs dishwasher
• Cleans, maintains, and sanitizes equipment and food preparation areas
• Restocks serving area(s)
• Delivers orders
• Sets out food
• Controls waste, rotates FIFO
• Performs other duties as assigned
