About The Position

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is seeking applications for two Food Service Assistant positions at Allen Dale Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year. Each position is for 3.75 hours per day, 182 days per year (August-June). This is a non-benefits position, but the hours can be combined with other District 7 hours to add to existing benefits. Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card upon date of hire
  • Knowledge of methods and ability to prepare main dishes, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and other foods
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Ability to supervise student helpers if required
  • Ability to handle money
  • Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees
  • Ability to get along well with students
  • Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for a $12.50 fingerprinting fee and a $75 ODE fingerprinting processing fee

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • $15.83-$22.87 per hour
  • Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
