The Food Service Assistant is responsible for various duties including monitoring and recording food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and processing payments using a computerized register. This role involves complying with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining quality control standards. The assistant may operate various kitchen equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers. This position specifically involves working on the patient tray line.
