About The Position

The position contributes to the overall success of LECOM by providing excellent customer service to all customers. This includes providing customers with prompt service, quality food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment in accordance with LECOM's standard of excellence.

Requirements

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collegially with others.
  • Ability to report to work as scheduled, ready to devote full attention and energy to the important work of LECOM.
  • Ability to accept work directives from managers and supervisors in a respectful and cooperative manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of the protocols and procedures in Institutional education.
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of LECOM.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
  • Communicate information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a positive environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Contribute to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in employee morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer.
  • Follow LECOM operational policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, those for cash handling and safety and security.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that employees can locate resources and various product as needed.
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Contribute directly to the Mission of LECOM by assisting with Institutional fundraising and participating in the LECOM Scholarship Auction.
  • Participate in scholarly activity to enrich and broaden the student learning experience.
  • Commit to being a representative of LECOM by being actively involved in the community.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
