Join ChristianaCare and make a difference every day! We are seeking a Food Service Assistant III to join our dynamic Call Center team within Food & Nutrition Services. In this role, you'll be the friendly voice behind our patient meal service, helping patients select meals that meet their dietary needs while delivering exceptional customer service.

Receive and process patient meal selections via phone using CBORD and other systems
Guide patients through menu options based on their dietary restrictions
Adjust menus according to diet orders and nutritional guidelines
Collaborate with dietitians, technicians, and other staff to resolve food service issues
Operate dishwashing and pot-washing equipment as needed
Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives
Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all tasks

High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience with food service and call center systems preferred
ServSafe certification a plus
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
Familiarity with modified diets, fluid restrictions, and nutritional guidelines
