Requirements

At least 6 months of hands-on food prep experience in a professional, commercial kitchen (1 year preferred)
Experience working both in the kitchen and in dining/service areas; senior living or healthcare food service experience is a plus
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and safety guidelines
Professional, dependable, and respectful of resident privacy and confidentiality
Reliable attendance and the ability to arrive on time and work scheduled shifts

Responsibilities

Help prepare food, including washing and cutting fruits and vegetables, making salads and sandwiches, and plating desserts
Support cooks and bakers by following recipes and production lists
Set up dining rooms and meal carts before service
Work alongside nursing staff and caregivers to plate, serve, and deliver meals to residents
Wash dishes using a commercial dish machine (and by hand when needed)
Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and storage areas
Assist with special events and catering
Help receive, rotate, label, and store food and supplies
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
Meaningful work in a mission-driven senior living community
